Terrence Sharrock owner of Pure Platinum Media is a writer, director, cinematographer, and digital media specialist based in Newport News, Virginia. Raised in the inner-city streets of Paterson, New Jersey, Terrence has turned his life experiences into a powerful vehicle for storytelling and youth empowerment.

He currently serves as the Digital Media Specialist for Suffolk Public Schools, where he leads all district-wide media campaigns and video communications. In addition, Terrence works as a videographer and editor for the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN), contributing to a wide range of high-profile productions. His work at CBN includes segments for The 700 Club, TGI, the animated children’s series Superbook, and various TV series and documentaries under CBN Films.

Terrence’s passion for creative arts began in the music industry, where he was handpicked by hip-hop legend Parish Smith (EPMD) to serve as lead producer for Lil Raz, who later signed with Rick Ross’s Maybach Music Group. He studied Studio Music Engineering at Omega Recording Studios and spent several years working in distressed communities throughout Washington, D.C., supporting nonprofit organizations with a focus on youth outreach. It was there that Terrence discovered his passion for video production.

He later earned a degree in Digital Cinematography from Full Sail University, where he developed his skills in writing, directing, and producing film content. Over the years, he has created multiple short films and continues to build a diverse portfolio that spans multiple genres.

Terrence is also a dedicated mentor who trains and guides teenage interns in the field of media production, providing hands-on experience and professional development to prepare them for future careers in the industry. His commitment to youth empowerment is evident both on and off set.

As a bold and versatile screenwriter, Terrence has written scripts across nearly every genre. His long-term goal is to bring several of his feature-length screenplays to life—creating films that not only entertain but also educate, inspire, and uplift.
